My Personal Christian Blog

Thanks for sliding into my blog site. This blog bog is a spin-off from my website at http://www.niteowldave.com/. Call me a Night Owl, as my full-time mission and hobby are jabbering from midnight until 8 a.m.ish with chatter bugs across the world. Hoot, hoot! Being a retired newspaper guy and a Curious George, I've written and assembled a whack of stuff that I hope you'll find interesting and thought-provoking. Check out the Stories bar on the right side, below, for all my articles - from my web site and this blog.

God said No

1. I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No. It is not for me to take it away, but for you to give it up.

2. I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No. His spirit is whole; his body is only temporary.

3. I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it
is learned.

4. I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No. I give you blessings; happiness is a choice.

5. I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you
closer to me.

6. I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make to make
you strong.

7. I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God Said, No. I will give you NEW life so you can enjoy all things.

8. I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

"To the world you are one person, but to one person you just might be the world"

EVOLUTION QUESTION

Thoughts from the deep-thinking, brain dead scientific community. The litany of the evolutions boils down to something like this:

“We know evolution is true, even though we don’t know how it works, and we have never seen it happen.”

Say, what!
